Zerion® FAN-6 Corrosion Inhibitor
Project Details:
The original tank floor was removed for replacement, exposing the sand base, and the tank ceiling was absent. Installation used a top-dressing technique, spreading Zerion FAN-6 powder at an approximate rate of 400 grams per square meter, covering around 30 square feet before rain halted work. A metal sheet protected the treated area before departure.
Outcome & Recommendations:
Zerust left before completing the corrosion inhibitor application, which the contracted team would finish when the weather improved. After spreading FAN-6 on the sand base, the next step was installing a new tank floor, with Zerust recommending sealing the chime area using polyurethane construction adhesive.
