Zerion® Hydrotest-5
Zerion® HydroTest-5 is a water-soluble corrosion inhibitor powder designed to provide reliable protection for ferrous metals during hydrotesting. When dissolved in water, it creates an alkaline environment that neutralizes acidic species, effectively reducing the risk of flash corrosion. It delivers optimal performance at low concentrations (0.5%–1.0%), depending on water quality, protection requirements, and post-hydrotesting lay- up duration.

- Hydrostatic testing of pipelines, piping circuits and static equipment such as storage tanks, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, etc..
- Post-hydrotesting Lay-up: Suitable for short-term lay-up to prevent corrosion in ferrous metals.

Operating Summary
- Mix Zerion® HydroTest-5 thoroughly into water. The required concentration depends on length of time the asset will be in contact with the solution, condition of the asset, and quality of the water.*
- Perform hydrostatic testing using the prepared solution as outlined in the Scope of Work. A Zerust® Field Engineer can be assigned to oversee the operation.
- Dispose of the solution in compliance with all applicable local, regional, national, and international regulations.
